DRM or no DRM Amazon chose the wrong ...
... path when they removed books from the libraries of those who had purchased those books.

If Amazon mistakenly distributed books for which it had no right to do so, the proper action would have been to pay the copyright holders damages. Nothing more. Their terms of service seem pretty clear and they seem to have violated those terms.

They need to amend those terms and to make amends to its customers if it is to regain the trust of those customers.

In the end though, the consumer decides if they will tolerate such heavy-handed tactics and Amazon must live with the outcome.

Should they be sued? Yes.
