FTC Watching Blogs
I might be out of touch in a way but from the exposures to blogs that I have had, periodically and infrequent, I haven't seen anything in any of them to make me think they're of any use to anyone except the gullible. With more stories like this one, plus maybe add a hint or two about who's actually contrinbuting to a blog, which in a lot of cases ain't the guy floating it, and they'll shortly go by the wayside. They started as a place to brag about life and that's still all they arewith very, very few exceptions.
I know this will draw the ire of serious bloggers but in their hearts they know it's true, plus I'm not putting them down as much as I am saying there's just nuttin' there that's unbiased. Computer systems? Sometimes useful, assuming the author knows what they're talking about, and most other subjects that are verifiable and clarifiable. But news? Serious research information? Nah; no verification, no clarification, nothing of any import can be verified and you can see the plagairism in a lot of them I've looked at.
They're a successful fad in personal marketing; they made some people some money. But 99% of the time it's not the blogger making any of that money. They are, well, just not worth my time; with apologies to all fanatical bloggers who may read this. I'm entitled to my opinions, same as you are.
