Democracy Is not a Universal Bandaid
First off, i think something went wrong with your input format
because you have html tags everywhere. Probably take a look at that.

As for the story I think this shows how little people actually care. Its
much easier to sign on to a petition to change the terms of service
because you "heard" that it was bad than actually going through and
voting on a new one. Oh dear, choices!

Democracy almost always seems to lead to an incredibly bland flavor
of vanilla or means nothing because most people didn't actually
participate. Putting stuff like your terms or use or the "facebook bill of
rights" up for a vote is nothing more than a silly publicity stunt.
Are they gonna start voting on design, ui, and features changes? Of
course not because then nothing that made Facebook revolutionary
would ever happen again! The voting process was only put into play
when it was over something that meant absolutely nothing.
