So the Cook County sheriff has been cut out of the loop?
By the way this is reported, one could interpret this as the sheriff is unhappy because he can no longer get the cut he used to get (just an interpretation/theory).

At least that?s what Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart charges, noting that prostititutes regularly advertise their wares on the site, cutting out their own particularly vicious middlemen. Dart sued Craigslist for its role in prostitution.

Exactly how large a cut is his income taking due to Craigslist? It sort of sounds like either 1) he is suing for lost income or 2) he doesn't like the competition (or independent agents) 3) he is a social moralist in a time of economic downturn. Granted, I am looking at this from a business perspective (prostitution, like consulting or any other profession that an individual can be their own agent, is just a business and nothing more, also legal in some areas). Perhaps I am a bit cynical about this.
