Obviously, this IS about Linux. The FAT implementation is GPL, and part of
the kernel. This is all about making Linux devices more expensive and creating fear around using Linux in devices.

But, it could backfire if FAT patents are invalidated. Look for MS wo settle quick if there is a chance that the FAT patents will be invalidated.
