The Demise of U.S. Space Prominence
It is not a certainty who or what fired up the President-elect to pick NASA as his target agency to essentially minimalize. Regardless, the net effect will effectively accomplish: (a)A reduction in one of our government's key source of both employment and international progress and prestige. (b)reduce America's international lead and impact in the space sciences to a third class standing, (c) a further de-emphasis of science in elementary and secondary school programs and thus a stifling of new, important scientific power that all nations desperately need, and (d)a dispiriting influence on the morale of this nation which has consistently attached itself to our progress in all of the space sciences.

In my humble opinion, this new, incoming administration stands to amplify the move of America back into the dark ages. When this happens, no amount of innovative leadership and fancy words will raise us up out of this black hole of backwardness and ignorance. For shame, for shame.
