As a retired product designer for over 25 years, I can assure that somewhere there is a vulture sitting there with a patent under it's wing for putting your finger up your nose. It's just waiting for someone with "deep pockets" to get caught on TV with a straying finger. The entire "patent" system is a joke built for trial lawyers, and needs to be scrapped and then re-created.
