Hacking for the Disabled
NOw, that's definitely something really GREAT going on! [ Lest I forget to say so, it's also nice to see the work "hacker" properly used for a change. ]
"That" is also the sort of activity the whole world should know about; even I would find a way to contribute to that sort of applicability!
But, great as all this is, what do you want to bet, this is about the last we'll hear of it? Very few news media will pick it up, the open source nay-sayers will do their best to bury it and attempt obscene profits for themselves, and the whole thing will happen in the vacuum of mainstream media where it might in a few places get a cursory mention and then move on, never to revisit it again.
As for me, I'm going to go do a little more research, and this is going up on a permenent link on my web site. I know things won't happen quickly, but I'll still follow them and make everyone I can, aware of the efforts. Let's hope all the good intent is real, lasts and does some lasting good.

Am I the only one that feels this way?
