Your privacy truly is at stake in the REAL ID debate. But in my view, it?s the opponents of secure identification who pose the greatest risk. Without REAL ID, you are far more likely to endure one of the worst privacy violations ? having your identity stolen.

Ok I'm just confused. How is having a chip in my license more secure than just having a license? Can the "bad guys" read my license any easier if I don't have a chip in it?

The only good news at this point is that it isn't mandatory. I wonder how many will opt for the chip.
