Gartner's statement not worth quoting. They are the most worthless thing to hit IT.

Was Childs the only IT person on staff that knew anything about computers? That's what it sounds like. But this isn't that hard to believe. Most IT departments are manned by one or two or maybe no one that really understands IT. The more IT people I run across the more pitiful the state of IT looks. It sounds like SF had one person that understood IT. He just happened to be a little loony.
