my space & blogs / as protected computers

access to myspace and blogs in a read only context that they are offered are not protected, however, using a username & password to log into an account (the "josh" user account) is thusly accessing protected computers and their content.

Logging in as a specific user allows you to see some profiles that the general public can not see. Namely those profiles that are 1) under age ...2) marked private

Regardless of being "given" the user/pass, the woman accessed the account to impersonate another, or "false pretense" which begins the case against her.

Had she logged in as this "josh" user, and then told the girl "josh" was being faked or was being accessed by others and that the girl should remove "josh" as trusted/allowed ... she would have potentially diffused the situation .... but instead ... this ADULT woman "played", while she didn't directly pull the trigger, her position in this is far from innocent, and it is her age that made the difference.

Over 18 means being held to a higher standard. Thus why charges weren't levied against a 'minor' ... etc..
