Not Prior Restraint? Horse-feathers!
It is clear that this is unconstitutional, and only a lawyer would hedge his bets by giving the bank and the court any benefit of doubt. This is the most egregious use of pernicious censorship that I have seen in ages: a web site is completely shut down on the presumption that they might publish something that they possibly obtained from an unauthorized source!

I can only imagine what the outcome might have been had the Washington Post been under this sort of prior restraint when Woodward and Bernstein were contacted by Deep Throat. Every news outlet of every type should be up in arms over this - newspapers, television, blogs, grocery store handouts - everyone who commits any commentary on any news item of any kind. If this ruling is allowed to stand the concept of "Freedom of the Press" will likely become a rotting corpse, killed by every special interest group (including government) that feels it MAY be subject to public scrutiny over issues that it would rather not air.

If this ruling stands, it will do more to eliminate freedom in this country than the Patriot Act ever could.
