While I admit that I haven't read the proposal, I do agree with everything above in
the topic. The patent office is probably underfunded. They do need more
employees. They might even need some restructuring.

It seems like the problem proposed by opponents is that once again, Rules and
laws are being hastily cast, without any real regard for how things are in the real
world. They have their view from inside the Government offices, and thats fine for
them, but its never the same view we have from out here.

Id like to see the patent office have an increased turn over time in submissions. Id
like to see increased efficiency in verification that submitted patents have been
checked against Current patents and do not clash. Id like to see a Court that is
more adequately established to handle patent disputes quickly, in days not weeks,
yet it must retain or exceed current standards for examination of submissions for
Violation.

Its clear to me that massive changes are needed and without proper funding none
of it will be possible without massive damages to services we might currently take
for granted.
