B he a good candidate or not . . .
Over many years I have watched Fred Thompson's unassuming rills both in congress and on the movie screen.

As with any successful politician, his mastery of acting is uncontested. He can maneuver and manipulate an audience to his goals.

I am not a Republican, don't agree with 90% of their propaganda, nor am I a Democrat, however, what sways my vote to Thompson, should he decide to run, is that throughout the years, when asked a question by a reporter, or in Congress, he answered it directly.

Not bothering with spin tactics, as happens with so many of his slippery colleagues.

Thompson usually answers with an affirmative or negative, followed by a brief and informative comment as to the reason. How refreshing, after watching some of his prospective opponents in the debate. His colleagues and opponents' answers sound like the product of a diarrhea stricken bovine.

Thompson does not bore us by belaboring a point, he states it and passes on to the next, or concludes the interview, usually by asking if there is anything else to be asked.

I don't know what sort of president he'd be, but at least if h is elected, eventually, I could tune into him on the TV without assuring that my shovel is withing reach.
