In the future it will be 'Your chip has already been scanned.'
I hope enough states have the fortitude to block implementation. If residents of only a minority of states can board airplanes, maybe the Feds will notice the lack of tax revenue. Personally, I'd find it highly amusing if the security officer at the Capitol says "Sorry senator, your ID does not meet Real ID requirements. You are not permitted entry."
