I doubt it
At best, a blog represents the writers it attracts, which its editors hope will attract enough readers to attract the advetisers to pay its editors.
But no blog can remain coherent without alienating some partisans (who tend to regard opposing partisans as trolls). The bigger blogs must ban.
Blogs are no more predictive of successful political campaigns than Slashdot is of successful computer marketing campaigns.
Blogs are great for raising money and (one hopes) finding holes in your opponents' strategy, but whether any one blog can reliably predict success or failure I have grave doubts.
