Paper Trail
In my voting precinct it was optional to use the touch screen voting machine. The bubble ballot scanners were also available, so I had a choice of either. I personally like the ease of use of the touch screen, but I would like for my vote to be counted in case of a recount. It seems to me that since the touch screen voting machines are nothing more than computers, it should not take a rocket scientist to figure out a way to "securely" print out my ballot. How hard could it be for the manufacturers of these voting machines to add printing capabilities. That should elleviate atleast some of people's concerns with touchscreen voting.
