MARYLAND'S VOTING SYSTEM
Adopting a system of paper ballots to be counted by optical scan would be a lot cheaper since only one machine would be required in each precinct as opposed to DRE machines, which require a machine for each voter. The disabled could be served by any number of systems, including one that is very user-friendly involving a telephone.

Paper ballots are much easier to handle because they are sturdy. Paper receipts are flimsy, involve printers and the ink smears easily.

Paper Ballots are simply the only appropriate way to vote, which requires simplicity and transparency.
