IT workers getting bad reputations
IT departments all over the nation are far too often run by time servers who abuse their control of equipment and information handling to the detriment of their comapanies and organizations.

How could IT executives fail to implement and enforce effective and serious data protection standards? Hassling end users with trivial and pathetic password changes and other time wasting illusions of security covers up the routine lazyness and incompetence that is endemic to the so-called "profession".

That drive should have been encrypted. There is no excuse for this lack of professionalism.
