I have Loki installed and it does the finding very well (it literally knows where I live!)--- and it does this when I am logged into my own (home) wi-fi connection.
However, it does not seem plugged into Google Local, etc., though clearly it is intended to interface with web pages.
Whether or not Google does Wi-Fi, I think they need to extend an API for location services to tie into.
