Great, But...
I think it is Great they deployed that, but I am not sure that they are the first city in the US to put up a city-owned Muni Wifi.
Cerritos in California has been up and running for over a year. Fullerton in California has a small one running. I have heard of other cities, but these are the only ones I know of that are runnning, and have experience of.
