- Mega companies don't need shows
-
The mega-corps are back and strong. IBM, Intel, Microsoft are all way ahead of their rivals. The "new economy" failed. Why do Microsoft and IBM need to show anything? We've blindly started marching to their tune. Development is no longer an art. Its a commidity. Developers are now the machinists of the 1970s. After all, how much innovation does Windows or Office really need? We have Palms. We have iPods. What else is there? Push the Tablet as much as you want, but there's little room between handhelds and laptops.
Think about it. How many huge trade shows are there for machinist equipment or software? Not that many and they certainly don't get hyped. - Posted by: agramont@... Posted on: 06/24/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
