lol - What planet are you on?
Essentially, your whole blog amounts to: globalization is good because a company can plug into a global supply chain and keep costs down. Did you go to school to learn that?

Globalization is only possible because we can rape the planet without proper cost accounting.

Take shipping an American chicken to Asia to be processed, frozen, and then shipped back to America. If a company had to pay the cost of the emmissions to do all that shipping, it wouldn't make any economic sense at all.

But since there isn't true cost accounting, companies can essentially plunder the planet for lowest cost labor or material, and ship things around as they please.

That's the environmental aspect. There is also a national economic aspect.

We have all been bombarded with advertising telling us that price reductions and rollbacks are good.

That's only true if your population is getting LESS wealthy, and a "good deal" is a necessity because otherwise everything is unaffordable.

Someone making $50,000 a year doesn't care if he spends $5 more on a coffee maker that is made in America, but someone earning $15,000 would rather save the $5 and buy a machine made in China.

It's fine if you have a mix of expensive and cheap coffee makers because some people will always be less wealthy, but once trade becomes imbalanced there is a big problem.

The middle class disappears and everyone starts to buy the ceap coffee maker. And what happens then? The economy spirals into the ground.

It's the job of government to ensure there is a balanced mix of foreign and domestic products for sale to ensure national economic security.
