Here's a way to learn and improve
Record your video and then
DON'T look at it right away. go
do something else and look at it
at least an hour later. Then see
what you did wrong. Think
about that but don't do it again
right away. Think about it for a
while and then redo it.
Otherwise, you drive yourself
crazy and end up getting worse.

That's how just about every "pro"
learned. They did not get to see
their stuff on the tube for some
time after they actually were
interviewed or asked the questions.

Also don't look for perfection.
Everybody goofs. Just make sure
to keep trying. Most people do
get good after a little while.
We've media trained probably
hundreds of people over the
years, and done tv ourselves on
occasion ("spokesperson for").
I'd say less than 10% turn out to
be naturally terrible. The rest get
pretty good - with repetition.

There are some very smart, nice,
and well known people who are
not suited to it. Robert DeNiro
isn't good. Former UCLA coach
John Wooden was not good.
