Well...
I too am unconvinced that this takeover thing is good in any sense. Personally, I think where anti-trust is going to come in is not over search, but over the portal, IM and webmail dominance it'd give Microsoft. Mind you that presumes that the userbase for these services won't collapse. After all, they are not exactly areas where Microsoft is trusted/liked/all that effective and people would probably presume these services would be submerged beneath Microsoft's own offerings.

This is almost as silly to me as is American Football, or the next Britney Spears "event" (has/is she taking over from Paris Hilton?).
