Any loss of content resulting from disabling Flash on a few pages is more than offset by all the ads that don't appear.
While the complaint appears personal, the issue may be widespread enough that the fortunes of the leading competitor are affected. If many more people are willing to watch non-Flash content, that's where the developers will go.
