You can go more natural
...which is particularly important on television shows that hope to look right on HD. There are lots of TV shows that now broadcast in HD, but they always look like they have makeup caked on. That makes sense for the low clarity of standard definition, but looks clown-like in HD.

The problem is less pronounced in the movie world that uses traditional film, but still, the clarity can be surprising. You still want makeup, but taking it easy is important.
