Ah, property

Alas, you're leaping to the same fallacy that is fashionable today: the assumption that "intellectual property" [1] is equivalent to physical property.

However, your neighbor deconstructing your novel isn't the same as your neighbor deconstructing your lawn mower.

If you really think that there should be no difference between physical property and thought under the law, I suggest that you find a way for a Court to award you someone else's knowledge of economics or law.

[1] For eloquent words on the subject of ideas as property, Thomas Jefferson can't be beat. Richard Stallman has translated Jefferson into 21st Century context with a nicely put critique of the term "intellectual property."
