Previously I owned a BMW 530I series 2006. The car was constantly in the shop. But for what I paid, the FREE maintenance was well worth it. I purchased the TL TYPE-S 2008 hoping for a more reliable car. Yes the car is much more reliable but the maintenance on this car is crazy. The brakes are wear out quickly and are very expensive. After adding up the cost of maintaining this car over the 12 months I've owned it, the car has actually cost me $50.00 more per month than a $50,000.00 BMW. I love how it drives and I love the speed of the car. But the maintenance is where this car is lacking.
