I guess this could have merit, but ONLY if it allows the read-only sharing
of the OS, library, and application memory images. There are plenty of reasons to run multiple instance of the same OS, but almost NO reasons to run instances of DIFFERENT OSes on the same box. Any shop of any scale will dedicate each box to multiple instances of ONE OS. The multi OS thing is ONLY for very small shops and for testing.

I am not sure why you guys keep reporting about the merits of running instances of different OSes on the same machine as if it were the Holy Grail of virtualization. That is not useful at all for all shops of any size (other than for testing maybe).
