Toshiba's Satellite P105: Productivity ace or gaming demon?

Have done both very well..But watch for...

I have owned several of the Toshiba's with the 17" screen and GeForce graphics processor. They work great for both productivity with high end performance - and great for gaming too - (Yes I am an executive gamer). However, one thing to watch out for - 2 of my Toshiba's had problems and it took an inordinate amount of time to get them resolved. A. The power transformer for my Satellite broke - and Toshiba could not ship a replacement for over 30 days. 2. The graphics processor burned out on my Qosmio, and it took over 60 days for repair. Toshiba did offer an additional warranty period, however, that was offset by the fact that the Satellite had the same issue subsequently out of warranty - It still operates, however, only with Windows drivers and in 800 by 600 mode, which is really unusable on a 16:9 screen. I still love the machines - But would recommend that if Toshiba says "Productivity" then they need to put some solutions in place to provide warranty services on a scale that measures in hours - rather than months.
