Not all are shortcomings

Not all of those on that list are shortcomings, merely different ways of doing things then what windows does.

For example. #10. While the dock doesn't show your rarely used Apps you do not have to goto finder to launch the app. Simply goto spotlight and type in the name and a second later it pops up. If you really need it fas (and I don't know why you would if it is a rarely used app) you can install something like Quicksilver.

#11. Again this is just something different then what windows does but no less functional. The "+" button automatically resizes the window to the size of the document you are working on. I don't see in what instance you would need otherwise. Mac OSX programs generally don't operate in "full screen" mode because of the multi-tasking sense that they try to convey to people.


I can agree on the printer setup, although surprisingly if you plug a USB printer through an airport express there is almost no setup at all and it just "shows up" in your printer options.

The UI definitely needs to be brought up to snuff though on consistency as well
