Spyware Removers

Hi,

Interesting competition that was between all of the top spyware removers.

I personally use Ad-Aware so I was pleased to see it came out top! The only negative I find with Ad-Aware is that it does take a long time to peform a full scan, and even the basic scan takes a while.
Having said that, I guess those programs out there that take longer supposedly are being more thorough and are finding more threats - any thoughts on that?

Also, i'm not sure I quite agree with Michael Horowitz's theory of wiping the entire computer! Seems a little rash. I think that if your computer is slow and not reacting well the user should do 4 things.

1. Run an antivirus program
2. Run an antispyware program
3. Run a registry cleaner program
4. Defrag and then restart your PC.

That should sort it out!
