I read the article on Intel's advances toward their System Integrity Services as well, and was intrigued. I can definitely see the future of the spyware battle being waged more on the hardware level than a software level because of the level of monitoring that is required, not to mention the ability of many spyware apps of shutting down the very software that is supposed to detect them. I recall that their current stance is that they are unsure when (or if) it will go into production machines, but I think this will probably head the way TPM has.. First we'll see it in corporate settings, then it will eventually filter down to the home user level.

I wonder how long it will take for these two technologies to start working together.. integrating TPM and System Integrity Services, making one work with and be depenednt on the other. And is that a good thing?
