- It's the price, stupid...

Right now Blu-ray discs are 50% to 300% more than their DVD equivalents for both purchases and rentals. And in many cases, they don't even have as many extra features.
I appreciate the additional video quality that Blu-ray provides, but for those of us who aren't videophiles but just people watching a movie, I don't know that it's worth the premium they're charging right now.
