Wow, $530 million. Sounds like a lot. Only it's not.

On the BoxOfficeMojo ranking of all-time top-grossing films (WEIGHTED FOR INFLATION), Dark Knight comes in at #27, behind films such as The Graduate (#18), Mary Poppins (#23), and even Grease (#25).

I saw the Dark Knight and thought the plotline was absurd, though the special effects were great--if I were a 15-year-old boy.

But kudos to those who made Dark Knight. They must have a handle on what sells to audiences these days. Me, I'll take The Graduate any day over the Knight.
