Interesting...: That's a pretty rocky record. I'd bet there are a lot of gnashed teeth and torn-out hair in the field. It would be interesting to see a few comparison statistics.

1) similar statistics for Electronics Engineering projects (or some other non-IT engineering projects);

2) breakdown that separates the projects into subdivisions, such as desktop consumer, enterprise, and web services development;

3) comparison of inhouse vs. outsourced projects;

4) comparison of onshore- vs. offshore- development.
