Listening to VOIP calls
Excellent article. Anyone using VOIP should be concerned about this. It's odd that people will accept this party phone situation with an IP phone but would never do so on a land line.

SRPT sounds like an excellent solution. My travel puts me in locations where VOIP is blocked. So the situation is both one of someone listening and being able to get the call through. Does SRPT create any kind of tunnel allowing the call to bypass filters?

I've been using vpn (Surfbouncer) for this purpose lately. It works fine but I'd be curious as to other non vpn/ipsec alternatives if nothing else for knowledge sake. The Surfbouncer product can be ordered from their web site or off of eBay, which is where I found them.
