Comparison is off

YT and the FL primary numbers are not comparable. You may well be right that many Paul supporters view YT more frequently. The wheels fall off your analysis when you pick up numbers in a winner take all format and you have two candidates spending millions of inflated $ for air time in one of the most expensive markets in the country. Much like you would play poker with a the dealer stacking the deck and using marked cards was the way that Paul viewed politicing in FL.

I happen to think that Paul (and Huckabee, Hunter, Gravel, Kucinch, and Edwards) has had a horrible time getting the word out compared to the media's fixation with the "top two" candidates for either party. We are not hearing about issues... we are hearing about Clinton's dirty tricks, Rommeny's press on hate phone calls days before the vote, and Obama's oratory skills. None of those have anything to do with pressing us forward to find a president to get the country moving again.

Case in point. Democratic rebuttal of the State of the Union. Fox ignored it... MSNBC took issue with the Governor's comment on "pundits" and made a brief statement to the effect that she should not have said anything about the "people" that followed her speech and then ignored her words as well. In both cases, these two media outlets chose what the viewers of their shows had commentary on.

So please spare us on how none of this is the media's fault or concern. They are only using the public airwaves the people RENT to them on a contractual basis and have special priviledges in terms of protections under the law. They have no charge to find out about the issues (other than Edwards haircuts of course) or responsibility at all. Just like they had no skinny in the deal to tell us the truth about the run up to Iraq and the WMD.
