I might agree that...
... torrentspy.com should be shut down but not that torrents should be made illegal. I use them regularly for downloading my Linux ISOs and it would be very inconvenient to not be able to use them.

Classifying torrents as a 'den of thieves' is insulting to me because I have never done anything illegal in my use of bittorrent. That would be as if I said that all ZDNET bloggers were hate-mongers because I thought you were one. And before you get upset, that was hypothetical, I don't believe you are a hate-monger, you just have a very narrow vision of the world.
