I would get one
It would have to be carrier-free.

A command line to the OS like a "real" computer aka like a Nokia 800 linux tablet.
Be able to install and remove 3rd party apps.

On the flip side, I think Apple will have a hard time with this. Linux PDAs are not gaining enough traction quickly enough.. mostly due to specific apps that usually need windows mobile.

Also, with Windows Mobile 6, the kernel has been re-written to remove the legacy memory limitations. It mostly does a good job now. I think it won't be too long until HTC or someone makes a PDA where the physical body is almost the same as the screen size using existing screen technology. It won't be as pretty as Apple's screen but at that point, I'm not sure Apple could charge a premium just because it looks like an iPhone.
