Think Vonage is bad?
I have Vonage, Verizon for landline, and Sprint for Cell Phone. Out of those 3, Vonage is BY FAR the BEST service I have received from a "utility". I've never had dropped calls or poor quality calls. My only complaint is that they don't have a local prefix in my area. Therefore we have to keep a landline so our neighbors don't have to call us long distance.
If you want to pick on somebody, pick on SPRINT. I've had more troubles with Sprint than any other company I've ever dealt with - telco or not. I spent 6 months getting billed for roaming calls when they were supposed to be included. Each month was an hour long call to talk to somebody that could reverse the charges. I finally got so fed up, I just set all our phones not to use roaming (which means no service at our house.) Forget trying to get out of the contract to switch to somebody else. What a scam they got going. At least with Vonage, you CAN get out of your contract without a $250 early termination charge PER PHONE... Ouch!
