iPod touch means too little, too late for Zune
The Zune would have been interesting if Microsoft had learned from its mistake last year: don't release your holiday media players after Apple. Creative and SanDisk were quick to get their 16GB players in the public eye this year, and I think it's precisely because they knew they either needed a headstart or to be on the market at near the same time to stand a chance.

Every week the new Zunes aren't on the market casts just that extra amount of doubt on the worth of holding out to see what Microsoft does. Why buy a Zune (even the 80GB version) when I can get an iPod touch that, for now, does a lot more with its Wi-Fi? If I want more storage, I can get an iPod classic. There probably won't be a 160GB Zune in the near future, either. And it remains to be seen whether the flash Zunes will have all the features of the larger model.

When you've lost the one clear difference that helped sell your hardware, as Microsoft has, you'd better have a good plan B.
