Vonage: morons on the phone...
A less than auspicious start to my relationship with Vonage. I signed up on Monday (16 July). They won't give me the 2-month free deal because "that's Tuesday's deal", so unless I cancel my account and reapply from scratch (and where does this leave my number porting?) I don't get the second month free. They're also not responding well to demand: I paid for overnight shipping which was a waste because they can't ship on the same day.

So far I've called twice, once to get a partial refund of the overnight shipping, and again to get the second month free. No satisfaction so far.

I should have gone over to ViaTalk. Pfffft.

Today I plan to call again-- their press release said (or implied) something about expediting the porting of numbers.
I'll point out that if they can't port Sunrocket numbers successfully under this scenario, nobody should deal with Vonage either because the same situation could eventually apply.
