Call it a "customer retention program"
I've never subscribed to Vonage, but they appear to be quite confident that their customers will pay their bills, even if they really don't want the service (like maybe they use an autodraw system). Otherwise, I fail to understand why they'd be so unwilling to part with dissatisfied customers who do have real alternatives.
