This is nothing new to most users of DoD networks..
These types of sites have ALWAYS been prohibited by DoD policies. This is not censorship in anyway shape or form because they are simply restricting what information may flow through THEIR network, which they own, not what flows through your home connection. Sites like the ones mentioned in the article take up a lot of space on the constrained pipe and do not have a valid For Official Use purpose. Granted there are ways the DoD can utilize these for their benefit, but as everyone knows the Government is the last to come "on-board" with a subject. Any network administrator, regardless of who they are, should be and will restrict what content flows their network.
