Let them suffer
No let the idiot get hit. Darwins law will re-assert itself and start to weed out the stupid and genetically challenged. Here in California, crossing the street is a very dangerous affair. There has been a significant rise in people running red lights. Every day I see it. Pedestrians are almost flattened by the moron in the SUV on the phone or in such a hurry that the responsibility of being a safe driver has gone by the way side.

With the massive influx of toys, yes they are TOYS, in our lives, we are losing our ability to drive, walk or do anything that requires our undivided attention. All because you (not me, I don't have an iPod a cell phone or a PDA or any other TOY to distract me from being aware of my surroundings) are so distracted with PLAYING with your TOYS, that you not only are putting yourself in danger but me as well. I don't really appreciate it at all. Ironically though when it is you on the receiving end it's wrong!

Put the TOYS away and pay attention. Or does it take an accident? No, don't legislate it. Let the pedestrians get killed and maimed. That way the offender can also pay the price of having to live with it as well as the financial burden. There are over 6 billion people on the planet, I am sure a few morons with their TOYS won't be missed at all. Flame on! devil
