Reasons why...
This is why I left Nextel. After the merger, Nextel's customer service went down hill...fast (which is why I moved from Sprint to Nextel MANY years ago). After the merger, going anywhere for support, even a Nextel store, was difficult. And when I was trying to move my family from Sprint service to Nextel service after the merger, I could not get any straight answers. I remember I was going to have to pay an early termination fee on the Sprint phones and drop the phone numbers if I wanted them to get Nextel phones! That was the straw that broke the camel's back, and I then switched to Verizon Wireless once the contracts were op.

Nextel's service quality degraded as well...calls weren't as clear, more calls were getting dropped...it was just a mess. Nextel was a great company with a great product...Sprint killed them.
