that Vonage is being sued for patent infringement not because they may have actually infringed patents. It's a smackdown by deep corpoorate pockets to drain time, energy, money from an uppity start up that is stealing tons of customers from the telcos. So, Verizon is suing Vonage. To them, it's a method to slow Vonage any way they can -- to not only take some of that IPO money Vonage just made by having to use it for legal fees instead of acquring more Verizon customers, but also to generate bad press for Vonage and hurt their stock price.
