Tongue-in-cheek?
Forgive me but I can't tell if you're tone is tongue-in-cheek or not. I can't help bringing a bunch of healthy skepticism to these thinly-veiled marketing vehicles. I'm not gonna argue that a T1 is bad but depending upon your organization you can probably save a bunch of money by finding a reliable Voice-over-IP Service Provider (VSP) and doubling up on your Broadband (get Cable AND DSL on "dry-copper" (no analog voice)). Get a VSP that supports G729 and you are in pretty good shape. Also the discussion about SIP & NAT here:

Although technically correct is not the whole story. IAX2 is another VoIP protocol that uses inband signalling and therefore gracefully traverses firewalls/NAT (George Ou wrote a piece on SIP vs. IAX). A SMB can get a capable IP PBX using an Asterisk-based system with IAX trunking to a VSP for low cost and low administrative burden (with regard to NAT).
